Users

OdbavTo is multi-user. Each logged-in user sees only their own events, the administrator (superuser) sees all of them. Hostesses don't need an account, they use check-in queues.

Administrator

Create the administrator from the command line:

The administration runs at /admin/.

New user

1. Log in to /admin/ as the administrator.
2. Open Users → Add user.
3. Fill in a username and password.
4. Leave the Staff status and Superuser status checkboxes empty. A regular user doesn't need them.
5. Give the user their credentials. After logging in at /login/ they see an empty event list and can create their first event.

Usernames are case-insensitive at login.

Password reset

In /admin/, open the user and use the password change form linked at the password field. Or from the command line:

docker compose exec web python manage.py changepassword <username>

Transferring an event to another user

Each event has an owner. Change it in /admin/ on the event (the Owner field).

Default account odbavto

In a local installation (SQLite), a regular user odbavto / odbavto is created on an empty database. It is not created on a server with PostgreSQL. The behavior is controlled by the CREATE_DEFAULT_USER variable.
